Tony Lopez is the branch manager of Exemplar Financial Network’s Westmont office and currently holds Series 3, 7, 24, 65 Securities Registrations and Life/Accident/Health Insurance licenses. Tony brings 25 years of experience in the securities and financial planning business. Prior to starting his own firm in 1996, Tony was a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch as well as a training manager and top financial advisor for American Express Financial Advisors. In addition, he is a regular market commentator for both Univision and Telemundo in Chicago and their national syndicates.
Tony Lopez believes strongly in giving back to the community. He served on the board of managers for the Chicago Metropolitan YMCA for 14 years. On that board he specialized in strategic planning and on the center sustainability committee and the audit and finance committee. He is also past president of the Pilsen (Rauner) YMCA, a position he held for 14 years. Tony is credited with giving life and being the driving force to the building of the new Rauner Y in Pilsen.
Tony has volunteered in a leadership position in many other organizations. He was a charter member and helped lay the ground work in strategic planning for The Allliance of Latinos and Jews. Tony is a past member of the Mayor’s Advisory Council of Latino Affairs for the city of Chicago, a past board member of the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement and a past member of the Hispanic Advisory Council for the United Way of Chicago. Because of his vast experience in strategic planning, he also served as chairman of a consolidation committee that served two local school boards, District 61 and District 63 in Darien, IL as well as past president of the FBI Chicago Citizen’s Academy Alumni Assoc.
Tony Lopez immigrated to the United States from Cuba in 1967. Tony’s family was afforded great opportunities in coming to the United States. Through decades of hard work and education Mr. Lopez has achieved the “American Dream” that every immigrant aspires to. Tony resides in the western suburbs of Chicago with his wife and six children.
