Tony Lopez has been in the financial planning business since 1985 and serves Exemplar as the Branch Manager of the Westmont office. Registered with a series, 3, 7, 24 and 65 securities registration as well as life/accident/health licenses Tony brings a breadth of knowledge to his clients. Prior to starting his own firm in 1996, Tony was a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch as well as a training manager and top financial advisor for American Express Financial Advisors.
Tony believes strongly in giving back to the community. He has served on many philanthropic boards and organizations including the Chicago Metropolitan YMCA, The Alliance of Latinos and Jews, The Mayor’s Advisory Council of Latino Affairs for the city of Chicago, past president of FBI Chicago Citizen’s Academy Alumni Association and past president of the Pilsen (now Rauner) YMCA, a position he held for fourteen years.
Currently Tony lives in Darien, IL with his wife Beth and six children. He and his wife (also an Exemplar employee) along with two friends founded The Darien Swarm, a youth athletic association for boys and girls ages 5 to 13.
Tony’s strong sense of philanthropy was instilled shortly after immigrating to the United States from Cuba in 1967. Tony and his family were afforded great opportunities in coming to the United States and through decades of hard work and education Tony has achieved the “American Dream” of success and citizenship that every immigrant aspires to.
